165 miles on Sunday with my 996 riding best mate. Social distancing best practice throughout, Senna headsets ensured lots of banter though. Stopped for fuel once, used diesel gloves to handle pumps and card machine, helmets remained on. We did stop for lunch; separate home made sandwiches and a flask of tea each, we sat at opposite ends of a bench above the Elan Valley reservoir that was dramatically overflowing. Clear roads and a sensible pace, Wales at it's best. Not as many bikes out as I was expecting.
Went out to do some banking on the Pani. Fuel was p.a.p and only went to bank & back. 59 mile round trip. Kept checking my mirrors for zombies but realised I was on the Pani, not the GS so gave up. Bikes had been house bound as my garage door was jammed, but fixed this morning so was going out as it may be smack down/lockdown by Friday
I don't go out until the temperature is +15 degrees , last year it was February , this year it wasn't
I rode my bike on Sat. Went to OYB and lots of social distancing while getting a takeaway coffee. Guess that makes me a nazi rapist murdering wanker tho. Shame on me. Must go purge myself and join the band of hypocrital-self-righteous ranks.
Going to quote this one, @bradders sounded like you did the grown up thing, thats all cool and seems like lots of others did too, we only witnessed the H Cafe gathering as the wife and I popped the roof off the car and went for a drive, was quite nice seeing bikes out enjoying themselves, until we went past the H and it was rammed, lots of shaking hands, man hugs etc, no distancing whatsoever, 6-8 people on each of the picnic tables, made last nights announcement inevitable. To those of you taking this seriously, thank you, I have like many others I suspect an elderly and vulnerable parent, so again, thank you.
Me too. I then went to Blade in Abingdon where I picked up parts. Did not take helmet off and was there less than 5 mins. Contactless payment. Then to Drayton to collect something for my wife from her cousin. We had already arranged that it be left behind the bins. Did see them but only from 30 feet away. Guess I’m a nazi too.
Can you guys who went for a ride tell me what the secret is to knowing you won’t end up in A&E or need a ventilator or ICU bed? because obviously, we don’t have enough for the corona virus victims let alone heart attack victims etc
I f***ing love the Daily Mail Long Live Queen Diana .... the vestal virgin ...... Am I doing this right ???
And what was the plan in the event of a breakdown and your bike needed recovery? Because you can’t practice social distancing whilst sharing a crew cab.
