Discussion in 'Lounge' started by RC1, Dec 16, 2024 at 12:17 PM.

  1. Bike and rider,..Legend!!

  2. none of this fills me with any confidence in selling mine next year. you lot are all supposed to powerfully built co director types with ample liquidity and time to throw at toys including italian exotica

i need my 1994 916 S gone to fund vito purchase!

  4. I already have 6 bikes, of which I only regularly ride one (Gas Gas 250 2 stroke off roader) so it's a "no" from me. In fact, I really need to get rid of a couple.

  5. Given the total collapse of the bike market this year and a severe depression next year I have a crisp twenty and a bag of Wotsits family pack I can scrape together, I’m not at work until the new year so could come and pick up in my Vito anytime from now until then.

  6. i might even take you up on that

  7. I will be buying a bike next year, but it will be a few years old and a project.
Mainly because I simply can't help myself, and enjoy the project side of it.

I won't however be investing the sort of money that will help the industry recover, as the 3 bikes I own at the moment are worth significantly less when added up than a new Multi.

  8. Not me, my streetfighter is 7 months old and the new one looks pants.

  9. Come on then, spill the beans....

  10. I've just bought one back in October , so no. Happy with what I have

  11. Absolutely not. But then I say that every year :astonished:

  12. It's the archibald bike mate, there's a thread on it on here.

  13. Looking atm.
After considering all sorts, I keep coming back to the GS
Would be 1300, used. Prices as low as 14k now, with 2 years BM warranty...

  14. Something for the melting pot. UK dealers have until the end of 2025 to sell all new motorcycle stock, currently compliant with Euro 5. From the 1st January 2026, all new motorcycles sold in the UK must be compliant with Euro 5+. I have read a statement that some current Euro 5 compliant models might be compliant with Euro 5+ but I don’t think it’s as simple as bolting on a new catalytic converter. Potentially, there could be proper bargains on new, Euro 5 compliant stock, the closer it gets to the end of 2025 :D Andy

  15. Aren’t all the V4 models compliant or compatible for the new regulations ?

The new V2 engine will go into the Monster and DesertX for 2026. Perhaps even new models ?

  16. Pre reg bargains will be the way forward. Seen Multiv4s for 17.5k, 1 mile on clock. Gs1300 for 16k, same crack.
If only the Multi was not so thirsty.

  17. After a very quick review, all the models that share the 937cc engine and the 680 mono are currently only Euro 5 compliant. That covers both Supersport models, all the Hypermotard models, all the Monster models and all the DesertX models. I can find no information available for the Scrambler range. Andy

  18. Having just bough the replacement for my 'forever' 1260 Multi, relatively 'same as the old boss', I'm not in the market for another bike. Plan to spend more time in 2025 riding that. Met my IFA this morning and will be going part-time as of Feb. Being self employed part-time doesn't mean Jack sh*t really but will hopefully be less inclined to sit in front of my desk trying to justify my existence. Funeral for a friend/ex colleague tomorrow and one of my cousins died yesterday, life's too short.

  19. Doubt it, spending £30k in the garden! :scream:
tbh its a toy I rarely get the time to use, while I can justify it because its paid for, I couldn't if I was paying a loan/pcp on it.

  20. I’m possibly in the market for a new tourer. The Panzer has now done 62,000 miles; just had valve service & all good.
My 898 is on 29,000 and just had its 2nd Desmo service. I’ll probably keep that if it stops crapping itself with shite o/e parts:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
No idea yet what I’ll replace the Panzer with :scream::eyes:
