This is the exactly the world we seem to be heading for. Amazing how comedy, much of it surreal at the tome, in the 70’s and 80’s is now a reality

 

Sounds like you've done plenty of homework so have a good idea on the work needed & issues to be expected. How deep are you planning/hoping to go with the engine, full strip or not? The rear exhaust port does look a little oily to me.

Esther Villar's book "The Manipulated Man" is well worth a read, ought to be compulsory reading in out schools IMO.

 

Just put a deposit down on a R1300GS Fair bit of the list price though!
I am closer to 60 than 50 so know street cred lost

 

Decent bike that’s does almost everything and excels at distance comfort.

 

Including turning men to stone if they look upon it.

 

I think it’s the best looking GS so far but I’m not really a fan of any of them despite owning the 850 version. Very good bikes once your sat on them and don’t have to look at them though.
