Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by MrAliT, Feb 27, 2014.

  1. Brrrr. Go steady if you're collecting today!

  2. Got to Snells at 11, left at 1215, not one bike gone....but apparently they were queuing at 0900 this morning! Never saw any new bikes out today either

  3. What a gorgeous day to pick up a bike.

  4. Didnt see you there but saw him crossing a bridge in Stratford!

  5. Not a grey one with red frame by chance ? just saw one in Sutton Coldfield area.

  6. Left here at 7:30, bloody freezing n crappy gritted roads. Was at OYB at 9am. He got his bike n I followed him back, must admit it sounded lovely with the Termi's on. I then spent 2hrs getting the crud off, bloody salt was sitting on top of salt.

Then took a ride to Mallory Park's open day and bagged a crafty ride round the track at the end of the day

  8. Great way to christen a bike Richard1200.

  9. We can tell its no Ducati, its hit every branch on the ugly stick on its way down to earth!

  10. Very cruel bradders!
I think it looks a bit like a giraffe.

  11. The pheonix off the DSC lived in Denmark the land of the free and easy Giraffe..

  12. Not a looker like my Ducati was..... but have every confidence it will spend more time in my garage than the Ducati, which spent most of its first 12 months at the dealer having its warranty failures fixed.

  13. I saw one y'day with a sticker 'I have a [picture of tony tiger] on my tank' bit cheesy..

  14. Was that you in the Harlequins shirt?

  15. What's it like that triumph ... With 3 cyl 800cc is it pretty revvy , think they have copied the gs 800 somewhat , enjoy your new bike

  16. I was the one with a Ducati jacket, helmet, t shirt, socks and stickers.... ;-)

  17. Engine is very much like the 675 Daytona / Street engine. They have just lengthened the stroke to to take the cc up to 800. Gives a bit less overall power but more low down grunt.... not as revvy but sill loads more fun than the BMW 800 which I have tried.

Still miss the 1198 V twin power :frown:

  18. BMW 800 may as well be a learner bike. Its that bad a motor.

  19. Yeah longer stroke makes torque, i like the look of that triumph ........looks like a bike you could do a few miles on .

I hear folk saying the gs 800 motor is bad but im not sure ........ i had a 59 plate gs 800 and in all fairness it was ok, it lacked a bit of 'madness ' but i wouldnt say its a bad engine ........ bloody good on fuel .....70 mpg going steady

  20. thinking about the new lotus bike.
