  1. nice work brother is that inj mount going to get in the way of your air flow?

    and what is the engine..........1198........

  2. That's no mount, it's a hover mower blade!
1198...? Too much for me officer!

  3. fit a 899 throttle or variable load control transmitter........instant 150 hp

you looked at the injector stuff that tom tom done...........id copy that...

  4. Not sure I ever saw a pic of his injector set up.
That pic is a bit misleading there's actually more room than it looks.

  5. I have a dash and keys coming next week (££££££££££££££) just hope the feekers talk to each other and the ecu ain't sulking!
    Otherwise I'm stuck! :frown:

  6. its all ab out cone angle............ie the shape the fluid is injected out..ooh errr...

  7. Well, the dash had a little chat with the key, the key chatted back and they both got on splendidly with the ecu...

Then the little beauty fired up!

    Huge relief...

Only those that have ever sunk a load of lolly on expensive used engines and parts will know this joy!!! :biggrin:

  9. Bit more progress;

Managed to reset the TPS with some help of a couple of nice chaps on here...:upyeah:
I'm leaving one of the CO2 sensors in, (only room for one) as she appears to start and idle better.
Perhaps the ecu needs to be told they're gone, rather than just leaving them out?

Also been trialing a plate to mount the fancy pants LCD Dash.

I'm quickly coming to the conclusion (guess i actually already knew) there's no 'cheap' way of doing this, even using modest components, I have just splashed on a slipper and an 848 rear wheel, which are guess are 'likes' rather than 'musts', even so, you got to do this for the relative enjoyment, satisfaction and learning.

Added up my spends and I'm prob going to be bringing her in for £4-5k. Assuming no disasters or expert dyno fueling required.

    916 frame/tank/swinger
    s'hand eblag fairings
    848 evo motor 3,5k miles
showa 848 forks + non mono calipers
    916 showa rear shock
    1098 mc's
    sigma slipper (cheers Paul)
    916 brembo front wheel
    848 rear wheel
    848 dash and ecu.
    Made in a shed airbox
    848 std zorsts
    1098 subframe +seat

    Few progress pics.

Slipper in.... Needed a few clarifications regarding fitment, don't want to be opening her up again!
I emailed Sigma and got a bloody speedy response from Mr Spalding his good self....Excellent service, especially considering it's a second hand part purchased from some dodgy looking bloke in a car park...

  20. I'd be careful of your nuts dropping into the throttle body! That could be very painful! Ouch!
