Did someone say to popular? The largest rideouts I've been on in ten years always end up in less than twenty people & usually below ten. That's with double that saying they will join in, never worry about size. The biggest memorial rides I've been on have been in the thousands & the police escort riders. Instructed certain riders (one been me) were deputized too hold traffic & if questioned state certain details. As we would be breaking the law riding through red-lights & stop the public to move the giant collumn of riders quickly through built up areas.
I'll add myself to this thread if I may. I'm in Bovey Tracey during the week (work), and near Sherborne at weekends. I'm happy to stick the miles in for a good ride out though, so don't mind about location.
Hi Nik I visit a hotel near Bovey every 3-4 months for a little cheeky break - nice food and walks. Added to the list!
If it's Bovey castle then you're clearly a posh bastard and we can't be friends I'll quite often ride out that way of an evening, if the weather isn't too Dartmoorish.
Location and date TBC this week. I will give multiple dates/locations and the one with the most support will be it. Simples.
All - Please see attached. I will be busy until this evening but this is all of the locations of everyone, some markers represent 2-3 members but this gives you an idea of the spread. Number 2 marker is SF Kiwi in Newquay and top right is the Oxford member (soz, forgot username). Our furthest points apart. Please suggest locations and also, please suggest weekday or weekends that would be more suitable. Personally, I was thinking of a Sunday morning meet, around 10am, which is the general rule of thumb. Thoughts please.
