obviously loch lomond and ness are cool places to see but always busy, earlier in the season will be better weather wise, not unusual for us to be camping down the beach any week end between end of march through to end of june. quite often without a tent it gets that hot. i could make a few suggestions.
I could be up for this as Ive never managed to get my bike up there. I usually got with wifey in car and the point being peace n quiet. I sometimes feel that my booming termis would spoil other people who go there for the same reason. Don't mind going to France on it though. But I seriously adore the scenery up there
yep, midges only bite the english. but seriously if you are by the sea and its windy you are generally ok. its when you are more inland on the hills its an issue. little buggers have big teeth.

Hopefully I'll be doing Scotland with Ducati Manchester next year, just like this year and the year before. Excellent trip. Joining that would be an option.
