This is Mike Hawthorns personal car given to him by Jaguar. It was found on eBay 3 years ago by my client in a very sorry state and went under a complete restoration. This car does get used and is not a museum piece, it’s on his summer rota of cars.
My good friend Keith did this one last summer. It was going to auction and fetched a princely sum of just under £17m.
one of the most special cars is Gordon Keeble. only 99 cars were ever made. company gone under at chassis no 92 and was bought by my wife's father , they had to close at chassis 99 . could not make it work . run out of money. i think i missed the boat with one of them as they gone silly money now, but i am on the look out for GK last 7 chassis number to bring home.
I went here in 2016 while touring Europe. http://www.remise.de/ Some really rare exotics here and loads of specialist workshops where a good conversation can be had. There’s also a large Ducati dealership attached to it.
My E type from 1973 paid £1300 for it & sold it 2 years later for £1300. Ouch. Well it paid deposit on 1st house. Needs must eh. Dads Vauxhall victor in background.
The Covin I built around 1985 ish from memory. Fitted with a 911 2.4 engine grafted to a beetle gearbox. Went like stink but top speed 90 mph. Picture got a bit screwed up.
i bet youv never seen one of these, its a wooden framed v twin, sitting in a customers garage in need of restoration.the radiator is actually the fuel tank.zoom into the rad cap.
Very cool Allard, been a race car for years and is usually one of the quickest at Brighton Speed Trials.
