Carol Nash came out best for me last year I was getting crazy quotes as I let my NCB lapse and had to start over I paid a silly amount but the quote she did with 1 yr NCB on a bike they had a years ststistics for was way cheaper so I bit the bullet and pId it Renewal is coming soon so hopefully it's gone down significantly
Just give you an idea of insurance in Aus my 959 is $525 (£324) and $400 (£246) excess. How does it compare?
My insurance is £900.... but Ive only had my bike licence for 8 months! I tried to ensure a 959 before going for the 899 but no one would touch me bar MCE who wanted 3k!
959 insurance is/was way higher than 899 I'm hoping this year it evens out now the bike has a years worth of statistics for insurers to use
Took a lot of shopping around to get a decent price for the 899. Got lucky in the end. Absolutely love the bike but it helped building up a years NCD first. Feel like I've missed out on an a year of awesome bike
Relax, you have bought a road registered, legal motorcycle. It is for the dealer to declare to you if the motorcycle does not comply to current regulations. Simply insure the motorcycle as the special edition that it is, and its unchanged from its 'standard' condition, and you have done nothing wrong. If its how you bought it, no one will care. Including me. But you have nothing to worry about. ride it enjoy it, you wont think about it once you are riding it.
By green slip do you mean road tax? Or registration as it is called here which is also 3rd party insurance as well, this is about $440 a year.
Went to see it today at Ducati Manchester. Martin managed to get me a cheaper quote saving me £300 on the Insurance! Deal done, cant wait to get it!
Last year i bit the billet and I paid 1700 as I let my NCB lapse and 959 was new model at the time a 899 would be &1200 This year getting Quotes for £500 With go skippy (who the hell?) and £560 with Hastings so well pleased
First thing I did when I went to have a look at it was look at the exhaust. This is what is says on it.
Good job you are not in Canada or the U.S. Don't see any restrictions regarding use in the U.K
