  1. It works like this; Crack open a beer, sit back and congratulate yourself on being one smart f*cker, repeat daily, well done that man well done!:fist:

  2. Befriend a local scroat and give their details when stopped? Simples :)

  3. Ouch, a grand. What pisses me off is not the money really even though its huge. But the fact that he's lost half of his driving points. If fines are raised the point system should of been amended to compensate. Because now he has too inform his insurer of the fact he's got more than 3-points on his license before the renewal & they'll most likely shaft him for another load of mullah.

  4. Unfortunately I think that's the point, screw up and get on the merry-go-round of handing over your hard earned. Sickening. They call it a deterrent.

  5. Would not mind as much if you cannot pay a fine, then you get banned instead or a ban and a lot lower fine.
It is the fact they got 6 points as well is a joke with the fine.
Although it is just a viscous circle, ban them they drive while banned, catch them again well still cannot put them in prison no room, and so on.

  8. Woohoo I won something! But I cheated a bit. I'm familiar with the sentencing guidelines (decided I needed an update on my speed awareness recently so took myself on a course.....) and maximum fine is a grand on normal roads, two and a half on motorway. As soon as you earn over 34k you're in for top whack if you score in category c of the sentencing guideline.

  9. OK copper

  10. Glad to see your attendance at night school has paid off. :bucktooth:

  12. Is it a fact then, that if you are unemployed you actually do pay less ?
If that is the case, then initially it doesn't seem right, but thinking about it, if there was an across the board fine, it would have a far greater impact on someone receiving benefit or on minimum wage rather than on someone earning £500 a week or more. And that don't seem right either ?

  13. if you want to get a proper rage on, watch an episode of police interceptors, nick a car, get in to a high speed chase, nothing.

  14. Totally fair enough if you ask me and much better than the current system, at present the hard working people of this nation are already paying for the booze, drugs, hookers, food and buying them a house or flat so why should they also subsidise a reduction in the lazy bastard's fines and yet pay increasingly more depending on how hard they've worked or got their shit together in life eh? That doesn't seem right either does it?

  15. That's why capital punishment is fair. 40 lashes is 40 lashes no matter how rich or poor you are. Whip the feckless!!!

  16. Sorry Gareth I can't see eye to eye there mate. Where do we draw the line? If a poor person gets done for shoplifting, should he get punished less also? Maybe he should also get 3 years for murder while I get 30, a crime is a crime mate, across the board . What you are kind of suggesting is poor folk can do what the fuck they like as consequences are much less?

  20. The thing is AD, not everyone on benefit is a scrounger and not everyone on minimum wage is a lazy git. Similarly not everyone whose made it got there by hardwork and endeavor.
To be honest I'm not sure myself which is the better system.
