  1. Tbh mate the chain has just rusted to hell despite my attempts to clean and re grease it so will leave it and change it out at winter and then fit the 46

  2. I just find a whole tooth on the front is a bit too much.

  3. On my 899 I went down one tooth on the front and up one on the rear. Feels a lot more lively now which is what I wanted.

  4. Everyone will be different, it is really what suits you best and where/how you ride. That is probably a lot of fun on the road, but you'd be hitting the rev limiter on track halfway down any reasonable length straight. For instance, I was just hitting 160mph on the long straight at Bedford (I probably could have done with one more rear tooth there, so I was just hitting the limiter, but then that might not work at other tracks and I'm not changing it everywhere I go). The gearing you have would have been bouncing off of the limiter halfway down the straight.... But as I said, it is whatever suits you and where you ride.

  5. Yeah, I would say the bike is still geared long for road work, it's I'm sure partly because they want to keep fuel consumption in check but I don't think it needs 6th gear from 90mph onwards really...

  6. Yeah your right mate it is horses for courses. I'm mainly on the road but had a lot of fun at brands and snetterton recently.
