  1. Begs the question of the best method for repainting.

  2. Prolly blasting of some description to get it back nice. Paint choice I'm not sure on, seems these days nearly all paints are derived from kids poster paint

  3. I was just wondering what you used to clean the engine like that?

  4. Hit it with jizer and a stiff toothbrush, washed off with water, done it again then used muck off and rinsed.

jizer is brilliant, seems to break down grease and oil really well whilst not eating into anything you don't want it to.
took about half hour but came out fairly nice

  5. No way am i jizzing on my engine

  6. My (carby) Monster has an EFI Monster tank with internal high-pressure pump. I rigged it as a pumped loop back to the tank with a 'T' off to feed the carbs and it works fine.

However the return line is in the bottom of the tank so when the pump is stopped it can still feed the carbs via the return and as FCR carbs can be prone to flooding when stopped (engine fills with petrol) I fitted a one-way valve on the return but then not happy with that (as I reckon it could slowly leak back) I fitted an electric fuel tap wired to switch on with the fuel pump.

  7. Cheers rs for the link.
im not a massive lover of shiney shiney, I'll probably/ eventually go for some kinda painted finish, not black but a darkish colour. For now I'll get it fitted and mocked up though, at least it's nice and clean to work on for now
