Very tastefully done John. I thought with all the other stuff you were up to it would have been a bit less conventional looking. When can we see the plastic on the bike?
Thanks Rich, I only got the tank from paint a couple of days ago. The hold up now is down to me making a decision on the engine paint. At the moment I'm tempted to leave it bare, its been soda blasted and I've since got a nice finish with 600 and 1200 wet & dry on the alloy. The paint is original 407.101 Rosso red and I've got the same Decal fonts and the tank has the original decals too. I want to stay true to the 900SS theme. Hopefully it will be built in the next few weeks. The exhausts need doing and also the screen which will be bonded into the fairing. Also the front subframe to house a Vapor digital dash. All this is still with a stock motor though, I love your solution of going 1100 Evo..
@Yorkie why would you want to Nuke my poor 900SS?! Seems a bit extreme, unless of course you're Russian...
Damn that is harsh. I must have been seriously drunk when I was handing out the likes. Sorry dude! Yorkie
Well after nearly six years of owner ship, I thought it was about time I put the fairings back to how God intended. Here is a before and after shot, it been a long afternoon.
The Royal Maharaja is still going strong, (number plate RMJ). It gets well used and enjoys mountain twisties here in the South of France. I did put a solo seat and high level termis on her a couple of years back...
Hi all, Here's my 1998 900FE. It's been a while since she's had an outing but she's a keeper. Richie.
Shipping her back from Spain next week as a trade in, for something special. Sad to see her go, but onward and upwards.
Very nice. Whic one is it? Have you visited my website? Ducati900sl.com (The Ducati Superlight register)
