Arguably the best way you can buy an SS! Do your homework, take your time - build it how it should have been built in the first place and you will have a great motorcycle!
Unfortunately, it's not masked off carbon, just the standard 900 decals in black vinyl. I'm looking to put the swingarm back to its alloy finish soon, I'm not too keen on the all black look. The engine is all black too, hopefully I'll be taking it out at somepoint and repainting it silver. For the moment though it looks really good. Just had a Dynojet 2 kit fitted, to go with the Termi's and open airbox, it goes great!! Rich
This is Dr Makita's patient. Rear subframe gone. 999 forks. Sport Classic wheels. RSV Mille swingarm - looking forward to further surgery with a view to reducing wheelbase (maybe). Project's at standstill, for various reasons, so the pile of bits still to be added gathers dust.. a full Silmoto system, lighter flywheel, 39mm FCRs, Woodcraft rearsets, yet to decide on final fairing/lights and whether to fabricate seat, or use something more readily available etc.. Looking forward to restarting and finishing it so project No2 can get under way Blow by blow here: https://picasaweb.google.com/BevelTown/Ducati900ssProjectOmbraNera#
Came across these pics on a storage disc, had the bike a few years ago, bought it over the internet in UK sight unseen, got it collected and brought to Ireland and when I came back from a touring holiday it had arrived, kept it for a year and sold it for literally twice what it cost me. Wish I hadent sold it , but you know the story....................needed the money to buy another bike.
digging out some older 35mm negs, found this spring / summer '94, have some earlier ones I'm still looking for. here we are, spring / summer '92, had the bike only a matter of weeks and knew it was v special.
