Mine are scorched. There is a rubber bung thing that is supposed to keep the fairing off the pipes but it hasn't worked on mine.
It's only on one side and about 1" diameter scorchio. I suppose it's to do with the manufacturing of the pipes, some will be made so they sit slightly further down.
