If you look at the clear top version pics on their website at there's a big heavy duty zip that goes all the way around where the red base meets the clear cover. Its no hassle whatsoever especially if you can get all the way round where the bubble is placed. If like mine one side is up against a wall I just put a long loop of rope through the zip tab and pulled the far side open & closed with that.
