  1. End of the day, you are sat on an engine.

  2. I had a 220 round trip on mine yesterday, taking total mileage to around 1100 miles. I'm building up on self-imposed rev limit as I run the engine in, so I'm now taking it up to 9K and it's around there it really starts to sing - noise and performance. Below 8K I was thinking, "this is fun but I would like a tad more power..." that was dealt with when I began winding it on to 9K...

I am definitely faster on this point-to-point than I was the 959 (assuming it's not a straight line) and it's more enjoyable.

Like @Multirider75 says, it's definitely an emotional machine.

  3. Glad you are enjoying the bikes, I would like to ride one for sure! might have to get a test ride just to satisfy the curiosity.

  4. Makes sense.
Bike looks great. Are you getting an Akra for it ?

  5. Yep, that's coming any day, so will be fitted at the first service.

  7. Has anyone fitted the Ducati tank pads to their V2? If so, can you stick a picture up?

  8. If you go to the Ducati Supersport 939 Forum and look up Ed's Streetfighter, you'll see photos of the fitted tank pads on there (middle & sides) The pics are on pages 12 & 13 - not a great angle for viewing the main tank pad though.

By the way, do your legs rub up against the side of the tank much? This wasn't an issue on the Supersport, but it looks like the SF might be different.

  9. Do you get a service book with your V2 ?
A mate got his delivered today and noticed tonight there is no service book.
I got one with my V4

  10. What's a "service book"? A shop manual? I'd be shocked if they included one of those... I did get an ownere's manual though?

I've got around 400 miles on mine now. It's not my first rodeo and I think this one vibrates a touch more than my previous Ducati twins (maybe ten others?) at around 4k rpm. It's mainly noticable by how much the dash shakes though, so it could just be the dash shakes more. I dunno. It's not intrusive just noticable in comparison to previous Ducatis.

I removed the passenger seat and pegs on mine today. Added a radiator guard too but right after the pic was taken.

Bike look great. First one I've seen with a red front guard fitted. Any issues removing the rear pegs bracket?

  12. The rear pegs were a little tricky until I figured out how they go together. You can see that the bracket is countersunk for the two rear bolts - the front of the bracket has the same countersunk holes that bushings attached to the heatshield fit up into. You have to lower the shield as far as possible and push the bracket up as high as possible to get the bushings out, and even then it requires some effort. I split the bracket (it's held together by two bolts) to make it easier. The right side was easier than the left, not sure if that's typical or I just got lucky on the right side.

Four bolts to remove the bracket, two of them go back in with spacers to reattach the shield, The other two are too long to reinstall and cover the holes. The good news is, if you buy the solo tail it comes with the spacers, and you can use the bolts that hold the strap under the seat to plug the otehr two holes from the peg bracket.

I'm not sure about the red guard yet. The first bike I saw was right out of the crate and hadn't even been cleaned yet. The stock black fender looked cheap when it was dusty, so I was deciding between red and carbon fiber. I decide against carbon fiber because I want to get all the same brand parts if I go down that road, so I went with red. It's off of some other model, I've already forgotten which one.

I also ordered a windscreen but it hasn't shown up yet.

  13. Will do. They do rub, but mainly on the plastic below the tank.

  14. Nope, service books are a thing of the past!

  15. I’d be interested in the red mudguard. What was the cost? Let us know which model it’s off, once you remember!

  16. I like the red mudguard as well. Hopefully you can remember which model it was from!

  17. I reckon it’s from the Panigale V4S. We could get a group buy from Snells!

  18. I dont care what anyone says, the V2SF is deffo nicer than the V4SF.

  19. You could be right, 2022 V4 Panigale. Previous years were black.
