Super Corsa Road Suitability

Discussion in 'Tyres' started by WhichBike, Apr 18, 2015.

  1. the second pic is dragon supercorsa rather than the diablo supercorsa. I hated the dragon ones for some reason bt think the diablo are great.

My monster has rosso corsa II which are great too

  2. Arggh forgot about that, good point bradders.

My knee down antics were using the older dragon supercorsa in the bottom pic which I thought were excellent tyres although I have found the later style im using now very good also.Im gonna have to see next time I get caught out in a downpour on my favourite twisty roads.I was running the newer style ones when its bucketed it down on the m way and they were absolutely spot on all the way from wolves to JHP in cov.

Ive been running the later style tread pattern in SC0 now for fair few yrs if I can find em as im only commuting round town or weekend blasts no touring or mega miles as they don't last as long being super soft.

  4. Got caught out again in a shower yesterday running the supercorsas round town.

First corner, massive highside but picked myself up like chuck Norris and continued only to low side next corner followed by a further five highsides.I blame the supercorsas and ducati as they know feck all about fitting tyres to a road going bike.

So get them off your ducati asap.Dont sell em yet though as its a bad time.Sell them in three months or so which coincidently is exactly the same time I will be looking for another as new set for a bargain price via fleabay lmfao.

For some more useful expert advise check out the quite clutch mod thread:eek:.

  5. For me the supercorsa is the best tyre ive tried - like the op I don't instinctively use mine in the wet (or if I know its going to be wet) but if I get caught out then ill take it easy. I did switch to m7rr's and found them quite unstable (thread running at the moment in the tyre area) but, this might just be tyre pressures....we'll see. But right now (and even as of last night going to Weston bike night) (Weston-Super-Mare) ive not been out the rsv4 specifically "for a night out on it" since last years motogp and it felt really nice. Definitely that's where the bar has been set.

  6. Mate of mine just done a Spain trip 2,500 miles on the M7rr and he found them to be brilliant and better than the standard fit supers on the 1199. Not saying your wrong old chap just sharing someone else's opinion. I am just about to fit a pair on my SF :)

  7. Yeah - I agree - have a read of the thread - a few do agree with me...but yes - I totally accept your/his opinion but, try them yourself...as one of the others in that thread has suggested, check the tyre pressures, which I will but at this point I wont get another set...unless the change/check of the tyre pressures sorts the problem.
