I have met Pete on a few occasions , he very kindly gave me some heal guards when I had a 996 and after I would go and visit his shop for a chat and the coffee was always on, he is a top bloke, get well soon mate
Really sad to hear. Seen him posting on here, but never met him. GWS and here's hoping for a full and complete recovery.
just made the connection, rockjock from dun, yip one of the funnier guys from dun. sold bike shop took up caring? fostering? all the best dude, you gave me a few giggles. looking forward to more,.
I can remember a while back that a friend of his 'Gizmo' (Michael Bonney) , who I believe was the founder of ducatiupnorth forum , fell from his mountain bike and broke his neck . I think he was paralyzed from the neck down . He was a friend from his bike shop days but I haven't heard any news about him since . There was a thread on here at the time of his accident . Just goes to show you never know what's round the corner . Probably just as well.
Not sure if I'm allowed to link to another forum so I'll duplicate the posts...: This from Pete's son Dan: "Apologies for no news the last few days, we have been rather pre-occupied. My dad is now receiving end of life treatment and will part company with us soon, we just dont know when. His brief spell of improvement the other day may have given a false impression that he was showing good signs of recovery. The family & I are with him and he will not be alone. He is not in any pain or suffering and is comfortable. Thank you for all for your support and messages during this difficult time." Very sad..... Here is a pic of Pete in his front room putting his 900ss back together! Good memories......
So sad to be reading this Thoughts with family and friends and Pete I pray you peacefully part company from your loved ones With love from my family to yours
