  3. Yes but hot weather and most tyres don’t mix and people don’t realise tbh, they think heat means sticky when in fact in that heat it means greasy and slippy. Saw some dodgy ‘frustrated’ passes but not too bad….nothing you don’t get from the instructors at NL or an OMCC day ;) Seemed large groups tho.

  4. For Euros try Rehm or DG Sports.
They ask for your laptime from your last visit, so they choose your group.
Then, live timing, publicly on screens means no arguments.
    Groups are changed every lunchtime.

The UK TD firms have created this problem for themselves. They will take anyone in any group.
They actually have all the live data on a public website, you just need the password and you can see the data on a phone app.

  5. Off road for me is green laning, although it’s very rare. Tried a “run what you brung” on a runway, just no bravery, maybe if there had been a few more chances I might have cracked it.

  6. My mate had a very near miss at mallory run by nl last year in the novice group, someone was a far better rider and stood him up in a corner , he went and told them .. there reply was "if you don't like it go home" unbelievable

  7. My mate at Anglesey a couple of months ago, had a dice with a new nl instructor, as he didn't like the fact that he was quick in a straight line & my mate was quicker in a corner, so when he performed a racing manoeuvre diving up the inside, my mate held his line causing nl to nearly come off,
He ended up baring him for the last 2 sessions & wouldn't get the circuit video,
I managed 24 track days last year & not far off at the moment with Donnington & Cadwell Classics
    Yippee

  8. Seemingly the way of the 'me' world at the moment... no care or concern for others.

  9. SS are the best track in the UK for riding standards in my view. Seen them move people up and down as required, even actually come over and offer advice to people from being out there and watching. Appreciate its easier when they are using hte circuits bikes/fuel ETC - While its a premium price but usually worth it, the GP track is epic too

Havent been this year, no dates worked sadly but hoping to get a good few in there next year.

  10. I get it everyone over cooks the odd corner or out brakes themselves when pushing etc. A simple hand wave or popping over in the pits a bit later is all it takes.

They say come and tell us as the organisers and dont go the person directly, I have only ever felt the need to complain about 2 people in 6 years/100 odd track days and both times basically nothing been done about it! At that point, stopped using that company and wont go back.

  11. Began on the road like most, then started doing UK TD's, got hooked on Euros, gave up riding on the road and UK TD's due to organisers over selling, dickheads and poor weather. Did Euros exclusively for a 5-6 years.
Will never go back to roadriding or UK TD's. On a break at the mo, might go back to euros, but not anytime soon.
Euros are where it's at...I'm bloody glad I did them when I did, pre-covid/brexit...

  12. I was a regular at Silverstone, both with them direct and the other providers. They stopped selling days to the 3rd party organisers and whammed the prices up. Silly money now for the GP circuit.
