Yep, you are quite right, there is no "m" in "force" (other than the silent one already included from the "g"). I guess by that point the units had got so out of kilter that I'd become sloppy myself ...which is the point of my comment really. Though, for those now further confused, the earlier argument about units of spring stiffness still applies. I have a new pipe, as it happens. A little meerschaum number, carved into a hand holding the bowl. I'll stick the "M" in that.
Vince, how was the suspension over the hump back bridge on the A24 yesterday?? Did it have you out of your seat?
Fast enough! I was prepared and on my pegs "rodeo style" so it was fine on my 20 year old technology 916!
Ricky yes it did and it doesnt matter what speed the slowest I have done it is 30 and I still get catapulted out of the seat
You need to lift your bum off the seat before you hit that bridge, let your legs be part of the suspension. If your bike's suspension is set to keep your bum in the seat for that bridge ... it will be completely useless nearly everywhere else!
Is that bridge right down south, I dont remember seeing one on the A24 when we went to Bury. I did discover the twin humpback bridges on the A29 around Bury, those made for some nice mono wheel fun.
The humpbacks on the A24 are just South of the Beare Green roundabout, at Kingsfold. There's a couple of humps there that are terrific fun, in a twisty bit that for some reason is limited to 50mph. I consider this to be a crime against humanity. My favourite humpback was the one I discovered (and somehow survived) westbound on the A272, I think between Cowfold and Billingshurst. I got completely airborne, only to discover a right-hander a hundred yards ahead*. The 999S is an incredible motorcycle *Yes, yes, poor fucking obs FFS. Get over yourself.
If you want to fly drink Red Bull it gives you wings going from Box Hill to Bury downt the A24 is dual carriageway then goes to a single soon afer joining the single there is railway tunnel running under the road it is a long hump back with a nasty bump at the end.
