  1. FFS not again :Wtf:

Some of us have earned the right to swear, you should work harder.

  2. Nearly PMSL!

  3. Swear words always look/sound worse when written down/typed

  5. It's not about swearing as such as we have all had moments like the hammer hitting the hand or whatever, I am saying why do need to use it in the written word/social media.
I guess I am way out of touch with the modern world but if that is the case then so be it as I am happy in my bubble.
I just find the world, ------ ok shut before I cause more probs

  6. I don't think you're causing problems at all. It's an interesting discussion and actually I agree with you. I often think less is more when it comes to language

  7. I gave up golf for that very reason....and replacing clubs was expensive :( Much more Happy Gilmore than Jack Nicklaus sadly.

Back to the OP question, I try to avoid using profanities but do from time to time. Sometimes adds to the humour, sometimes eccentuates a point. I do make a point of never aiming them at people aggressively and avoid certain words that are liable to cause offence by there mere use such as that C word.

Outside of here I tailor my language to the group I'm in. I have a very varied friend group, some of whom would be offended by profanities, some who use as a matter of course.

All in all, the world is a varied place. They are only words at the end of the day. I'm pretty sure if I took offence to such words and avoided people who used them my life would be much the worse for it. Words are just that, deeds are the things you should be concentrating on.

    Just my tuppence....

  8. We can choose not to swear, agreed, there is a time and a place for it, and I follow those social niceties as much as the next man.

However, if I need to convey my displeasure at something that imho befits whatever language I see as appropriate, then, a spade is a spade, cappiche?

Don't get me started on fecking supermarkets

  9. Sometimes it makes the conversation funnier.. I think... I'll refrain on this post. At work... I think the c word has been used all day just with different tones of voice (we had a bet)

Search for tourettes on you tube (if that's how you spell it). Hilarious.

  10. My girlfriend likes dirty talk as we make love. Telling her I am going to "stick it up her arse" and "fuck the daylights out of her" seems to have a very positive effect. Swearing is a tool to use, not one to hide away from.

  11. Bloody Heck - how many dislikes about other peoples opinions! Worse attitude than someone who swears at you to be quite frank, what...
You may not like to swear but you are not a genuine and delightful human being from what I have witnessed so far, like what I am :Wideyed:

  12. Steady on! Language!

  13. Sorry :(

  14. When used to excess it generally shows a lack of intelligence, a swear word is inserted into a sentence when the person cannot find a suitable normal word to express themselves adequately in a situation.

  15. What a load of Bollocks!

  16. Flange nuggets

There is a reason dim witted chavs are fuck this fuck that - they lack the language skills to properly express their thoughts (what there is of them) any other way.

  17. Too fucking right Phil, too fucking right.

  18. I think you should all have more respect
