916 Swing Arm Bolt Removal Help!!!

  4. Thank you, sounds like I’m going to need it. A simple job has now turned into a monster. It’s a 998 not a monster.

  5. VICTORY!!!! after a week of soaking with Wurth creep oil and a few good smacks with the new drift the swing arm bolt finally gave up with zero damage to the threads

  7. Looks as though it was ready for a bit of grease, now relax, that must be one of the worst jobs done.

  10. It has flared quite a bit Chris I am glad I had it made from stainless now
     
  11. Before you put that bolt back in Liam, make sure that you polish it. I used WD40 and 400 grit W&D paper. It cam up nice and shiny which is what you want.

  12. I smell success.
    Plenty of plus gas. Bolt removed easily tapping out with 14mm socket on extension bar. I must be lucky.
