Hi, just done the mirror and torch check. Appears ok. So now I just have to order the drive pinion. Do I just tap the old pinion out of the brass boss?
Pull it out.........If it is very tight that might be why it got broken. Just remember, because you can't see all of the worm drive it doesn't mean it isn't damaged The previous owner of my bike had fitted three pinions before he sold the bike to me....all had broken and made a terrible noise until the teeth were all chewed off........so it was hardly surprising to find the worm gear all chewed up too! Do a check on ebay............you may find a boss and pinion complete En France....
