After 20% tax, not much... if you're trying to provide for a family in London and renting. And if you're after a mortgage then I guess you're going to struggle.
Except it’s not. This is a management position. Curator manager positions will be paid more. I wonder if the person actually making and pouring the coffee is paid the same as the curators?
"The job entails sourcing, blending and roasting coffee for use in all Tate Eats' sites and managing the Hot Beverage Team that is responsible for all aspects of tea and coffee delivery." Yes, it is indeed a management job and there must be very few people with the skills required to souce, blend and roast coffee.
So they should be. Bloody curators. They only look at paintings all day ffs. Harder to put filter coffee in a cup with syrup
At my last place of work one of teh facilities staff was caught mixing decaf and 'leaded' coffee beans into the fancy machines, she said 'ah bollocks it's all the same'
As someone who has to have decaf, I can confirm you get more mpg from the unleaded version but you don’t get as much runaway power
I just blended some coffee with some cream..... It went from very dark brown to light tan in only three spoon movements. That must make me worth a few quid. Here's a tip from an experienced blender (I said blender, not bleeder); don't leave any Castrol R in your petrol tank..... ....it doesn't blend, it only goes into small droplets when mixed and back again to a blob which then bungs up the jets and injectors.
I put it in the mower petrol tank........(Castrol R I mean) ....just to remind me of when I was racing.
