Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by bradders, Dec 5, 2013.

  1. Bollox I just wasted £5 in buying a new holder for mine the other day :frown:

  4. we could all post ours to 10 Downing Street? :)

  5. You know what's pissing me off. I did a deal on Tuesday for a number of carbon tax disc holders. Who going to want them now!

  6. SO ... WHAT?!!... If the Gov wants to make this Island a better place they must abolish Fully Comprehensive Insurance. We cannot have Drivers thinking "It doesn't matter if I have a crash". 3rd party claims will still be honoured but if you hedge your AMG55 / RSV then you pay. Fully comp' has its uses in the 3rd World when the majority of road users have no compensatory cover but has no place within a progressive civilised society.

  7. The French?

  8. That'll be the same fairytale place where it's never cold enough to get icy, the roads are billiard smooth and well maintained, nobody spills diesel on the roads, there's no greasy manhole covers and 100% of the road users have insurance.

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

  15. Its behind the number plate :upyeah:

  16. So If we are going to pay as you go so to speak, will this make sorning easier when the bike/car is off the road and then simple job to re-tax when going back on, I only ask because I tax my vehicles for 12 months but only get to ride them for 6 months of the year, with my shift rotation of month on month off??, would save a lot over the year. Better in my pocket than the governments.

  17. Where should I put the email acknowledgement of my online vehicle excise payment? I have loads of folders in Outlook, which one would be best?

  18. Looking round a museum last week, I saw a car on which the tax disc displayed was dated 1947. Some Pioneer Run (London - Brighton) vehicles have them much older than that.

  19. I'm guessing here, but i would think the Red folder would be best.......................................would almost certainly be faster to access than the Yellow folder

  20. Errrrmmmmm, I might be missing something here but why are we all so jolly well chuffed about losing the fucking tax disc? ...... OK, it was a pain in the arse thinking of where to mount the fucking thing, but HM Revenue and their jolly old mates, Customs, are still gonna be raping us up the arse for the fucking money!......we pays our road tax for the safe upkeep of our roads, don't you know...... mmmmmmm ........ and we will still be fucking paying our road tax....the only slight win we might have here is that we won't have to lose any more sleep on trying to mount the fucking discs on our bikes any more - we will still be fucking taxed for using our our bikes on the road though.....makes me sick....
