  4. Well I have ABS, TC & QS, after years of riding approx 35yrs I think by now I have learnt my limits.
I was always a firm believer in not needing all the electrics but now I have them I rather like them but I don't find my self relying on them and they can be turned off.
I quite fancy wheelie control on my 1199s mind you :)

  5. You've got it in your right hand. Learn some self control you naughty boy..

  10. Just to say im not against all the electronics - my first dip into riding something that was totally electronically controlled felt a little weird....maybe I needed more time on the B.M...but then, it could be the age old thing....learn to control a bike with out all the electronics, become a better rider, then, the electronics will enhance what you've learnt....im still currently at the first bit...

  11. Funny enough that's what all my school reports said :).
Self control and Ducati 1199 do not belong in the same sentence.

  12. I like tech. The TC on my Tuono has saved me once for sure. These systems are the now and future of bikes. Add electric motors too.

Love or hate it, that's the only way this will go mid to longer term.

  13. A powered centre stand would be nice.

  15. Ugh. That makes me think of all those useless electric boots and tailgates on BMWs etc - like the driver is such a wimp he can't even lift his arm up and pull it down.
These things are not free - they all have a cost. If your bike or car was not festooned with electrickery it would be a lot cheaper and you'd have more in your retirement fund and no less fun.

  16. How about a seat incorporating powered inflatable air cells, for comfort?

  17. It could ripple the support and help avoid saddle sores :upyeah:

  18. On some cars, the cruise control incorporates an additional option, for setting a "max". It means that you don't have to worry about inadvertently exceeding a certain speed. The max is overridden by a moment of full throttle. This could be added to bikes' cruise control.

  19. Yes, that's what I meant.

  20. The engine setting modes could incorporate an "economy" mode, so that if you were running out of petrol, for example, you could switch to economy and stretch the fuel further (at reduced performance, obviously).
