999 Termignoni Can

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Old rider, Dec 20, 2014.

  1. Ironically the number plate on my 998 is MY52DUC - 52 being Toseland's RS999 Fila world championship year race number so it should be on my Fila 999R :)

  2. Can you not switch it?? For a fee...

  3. Yes but both are laid up off the road, I run other bikes, so it would cost £80 transfer, 2 additional bikes to insure for the road, tax and mot - both will need a belt service before running too. So, for a fee yes, about £1000 to £1500 :Wideyed: fuckin stupid rules!!!

  4. That seems bizarre.

You can't change numbers unless both bikes are taxed, insured and MOT'd?? That's just perverse....

  5. It is just plain stupid!

  6. I can't imagine why...

  7. Mmmm, I maybe wrong about the tax and insurance but I did read it on the internet, MOT is necessary on both looking at the DVLA website.

  8. Yep, taxed too and hence insured, just read that on the DVLA web site too - although it also say vehicles older than 1960 must be mot'd in another paragraph which is a little contradictory!

  9. Yet if you buy a number from them theres not even a vehicle .
