  1. Pretty sue that there isnt a noise test for a bike MOT ..... ive got 2 bikes and both loud and have never seen them do a noise test and have never been advised that they are too loud :upyeah:

  2. Ah ok, thank you, I wasn’t aware of that.

I guess the only issue then is if you get pulled over by the police and it’s not road legal, say it’s race stamped, would you not then be forced to change it back?

There seem to be plenty out there that have upgraded to Termi or Akropivic full systems that are being ridden on road.

    cheers.

  3. Carefully make the wording disappear, it's quite easy.

  4. Yes I suppose you could do that. Would the DB killer insert make it road legal I wonder?

  5. No, just make it less likely to get stopped. I put mine in for MOT's just saves getting advisories. Would need to be CE marked or similar to be road legal I think, so possibly not a very exciting exhaust!!

  6. Thanks. Was thinking of the Akropvic titanium slip on which is road legal if the cat is left in place. I think it becomes non road legal when you remove the cat and fit new header pipes. Therefore the slip on should still be ok, whether the header pipes are stamped for race only, or not for road I’m not sure.
I wouldn’t imagine the police would inspect the headers would they, if they pulled you over, just the end can I would think? Which of course would still be showing as road legal.

  7. I've got a full Termi system, so no cat on my my 1260 and a full Termi underseat system on 1299, both only had the not for road or race use only wording on the straps on the end cans, nothing on downpipes etc. As long as they're not stupidly load don't think you'll have any issues

  8. Thanks Andrew, that’s good to know, think I’ll push on with the full Akra.
    Cheers.

  9. I can't comment on the recent times as I've not lived in the UK for many years. But back when I had my 748 and 1098, even with just the slip ons most MOT stations were not happy. I imagine you'd have to speak with your local Ducati dealership as they might have a MOT station they can suggest that will turn a blind eye.

  10. I have the termi slip on, with the cat box 'de-catted'. Sounds great, but looks legal. Just phone round garages and ask what their stance on louder pipes are. I've never had an issue round where I live

  11. This exhaust plus other items are for sale in the for sale forum.
