1299 Termignoni's New 1299 Pipes

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Jolley, Dec 7, 2016.

  1. Cheaper than the Akro's that'll do.

  2. I did try and convince u a few times mate but u weren't having it ;-) only reason I was so convinced is that the clearance between the brake plunger and swingarm is so tight that I worry that if it flexed it could scratch it! Obv it doesn't but it's all very snug!

I have been wanting to do a 1199 swingarm swap for a while though.... ;-)

  3. Just because nearly anything for that family of bikes will switch over.... but I suppose everything else is belly mounted, so you only need to pass the swingarm once.

From what I've heard the swingarm is a straight swap. Just need the arm, wheel, and a longer rear brake line. I saw one on eBay a few months ago for less than £300 (swingarm only).

  4. Yeah, it's simple to do but the stuff is expensive, need to change chain, and gearing. Need wheel (£400) and then it's too wide so looking at maybe a 848 style one, which means hub change, yeah.. it gets complicated for something that really is purely for looks

  5. Unrelated question - how many horse powers do you get in wet mode on a 1299?

  6. 150. Sport/race are full BHP.

  7. That depends what engine setting you have in Wet mode! ;)
For some reason I thought the low engine mode was 120bhp?

  8. I thought that too.

  9. Remap it first results are awesome with standard cans

  10. I love the under seat pipes (that were designed to be there) on the 916, 1098 and 1198, however am allowed to say I think on a Panigale they look wrong??

  11. I assume these will only work on a track/race bike as you'll not be able to fit a number plate or lights behind/between those ?

  12. Or it could come with a bracket so they are just under the pipes. Easy enough. However, I suspect they may be Race use only...

  13. Check out wilfs Motorapido fb wall...terminate supporting again this year and they look remarkably similar ;)

  14. When he was running under tail Termis last year you knew it would only be a matter of time.

  15. Think it's more to do with factory support, so they can benefit from engine development at Corse rather than just design there own stuff.

  16. If it was corse factory support, wouldn't they be more likely to go with Akrapovic? I'm not sure what deal they have, but they are the Ducati partner for WSB/MGP/Dealer aftermarket now, so you would think they would want MR and PB to go that way... I'm not sure how it is all set up though.

  17. Only reading their page and comments. Ducati use Akra, but not sure if corse will be next year. Maybe a new deal? Either way it seems to be based on shared knowledge so less testing needed by teams.
