Yep, the Multi isn't an adventure bike, it's a sports bike that just happens to be all day comfy due to better ergonomics.
Had great ride on Evo today, filled and emptied tank twice so probably 250 miles all in and mostly fast A roads. Would the multi have done it? Yeah sure but not (regardless of what people say) as fast as I would have been pegs down most corners. Would it have been as much fun? No way. If you leave mates on sports bikes behind its because you're fast than them, simple. I on a multi wold not leave me on an 848 behind, quite the opposite. Would my body have thanked me for it? Absolutely...I'm tired out! And it would have been enough fun ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it. Some roads the 848 would be quicker and some roads the Multi is quicker. There are times when i have had to slow down on the Multi because of cross winds which i know would not have been the case on my 748. Equally the mid range thump of the Multi and the far better vision you get of the road ahead means there are a lot of times when the Multi leaves a sportsbike behind. I'm lucky to have both but the Multi gets used much more of the time and i personally think makes road riding easier and quicker.
Wonder if Missus would notice if I bought a Multi and changed all the bodywork to track for Evo...oh and emptied all the piggy banks for the 3k deposit ;-)
 Tell her its cheaper to have two bikes. By the time any woman has worked that one out, you will have done the deal.
