Unless I’ve missed something, as far as I can see, apart from the colour change, the only difference between my 2024 spec V4 Pikes Peak and the 2025 spec V4 Pikes Peak ‘evolution’, is the addition of the low power, rain mode (one button, minimum power, maximum intervention of the electronics) and the revised hard braking sequence of the rear brake light ? No chassis changes, no suspension changes, no weight change, no engine mapping changes in the 4 original power modes, nothing. Is that really worth all the fanfare ? Andy
Andy, They have moved the pivot point and tweaked the control of the suspension. Pegs are higher and further back. Bars are narrower. Panniers and box moved further back, as well.
The bike is so lardy, narrower bars is the last thing I need to wrestle it through the Pyrenees, as are higher foot pegs. My knee bend is already too tight and don’t get me started on panniers, the current plastic ones are not a patch on the original ones If the Öhlins tweak is simply software, hopefully Ducati can offer it as a backwards compatible update. Andy
Not sportier at all , just a fast ugly tupaware bike ... uncomfortable and not as good as the V4s , even the R1300 gs is better
Absolutely NOT! However, that said, it will not be long before all of the 'Fanzone' will rush to be 1st in the queue, simply to be able to say.........
I thought they would imitate the 1300gs auto lowering. But it lowers from 15mm to 30mm depending on load. I think that the current model lowers by about 15mm (ok you have to press a button) , which most riders say they can hardly tell the difference. But when mine is full loaded, there is a big difference, which I suspect is about 30mm. It looks to me that they have just automated what was already there. I'll try it out once in the show rooms. The price hike on the V4s looks the same as the 24 year model as the radar and blind spot is now standard.
1390gt to have the gen 3/4 Superduke chassis. Will take some convincing that a v4s Multi is going to match the sporting ability. Comfort etc. how do we know yet? Last test ride I had on a Multi 1260gt was excruciating dis-comfort.
I agree. I find the same. And that's why I hope that it is a software change only and the 'tech' will filter down to our bikes.
So you take the Gt and match it with the SD , the GT is okay the SDR is limited ....so the new barstad child is a runt . Try the V4s Multi agree the older pre V4 were a banana bike / nut cruncher
They got the mix right with the Grand Tour colours , but I would say that as I own one , but think its a great balance .
The most disappointing thing with the 25 Multi V4 is that Ducati haven't got rid of the phone pocket on the tank and given the space over to another few litres of fuel.
