  6. Echo that, top bloke :)

  7. I really thought they wouldn't be able to improve much from the 848 Evo, but I was so mistaken, but I will miss my Evo, you can't mistake a Duc with a Trellis frame.

  8. Unless you thought it was a KTM

  9. Ahhhhhh me thinks someone is having a dig lol The KTM (if your talking about the RC8) is a bit more angular sharp corners and all that bit like the old 749/999.
    Quick wheres the matador "OLE"

  10. Nice bike, now get ya arse to a decent dealer, is it a big improvement on the Evo corse SE

  11. Well P&H is on my doorstep, and I know people moan about them but touch wood I have never had a problem there.
Always had excellent service and no cockups.
I am assuming the 848 Corse was just a respray job and no additions parts or BHP wise to the 848 Evo.
The 899 has quite a few enhancements, ABS, EBC, DTC and a quick shifter, out of all those the only thing that cant be turned off is the quick shifter but why would you want too.
It was more comfy than the Evo
    Suspension is more forgiving
    Ride position is more relaxed
In general the bike runs a lot smoother especially at low speeds filtering through traffic
ABS - I didnt notice anything drastic, I hit the brakes the bike slowed down so I assume it works
EBC - All I know is that all the Ducs I have had seem to have engine braking but now looks like you have some control over it.
DTC - its a nice to have for cold and wet weather riding but I will turn the traction control OFF in the spring/summer.
Quick Shifter - It works very well and I thought it was very smooth but it is my first time using one.
As for noticing extra power, yes I did a little but race mode is not available till after first service at 600 miles, Plus I was a little conservative as it had only done 100 miles when I took it out.
Oh and so far there are 3 mode settings Sports, Wet & economical I think and race is available after 1st service.
:upyeah: Overall I give it the thumbs up, Yes I think its an improvement but it is only my opinion and I am looking forward to getting mine.

  13. Off course, my brain was not working, the rear square quarter lights should have given it away and the indicators above the bumper.
