the 'Anyone going to Boxhill today?' thread

Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by Chris, Jun 30, 2013.

  1. Missed out on ride outs of late. Was at Silverstone today for BSB. Found a decent pit girl to hang out with. [IMG]

Will be at Brands Hatch both Sat/Sun on my next children free weekend as well for the final showdown races.

  2. I didn't know the devil was a lesbo :D
John did you sort your Sag out at the Dyke?
Was nice to see Sue today even though it was only briefly, been ages.
And we are a step closer to finding out who the bird is on the BMW RR
We have a name and approximate location :D

  3. Lucas just for you

  4. Are you sure she doesn't ride an R1? I have a quick FB friend who rides an R1.

  5. Nope it's definitely a BMW S 1000 RR

  6. Nonetheless Vince, search my FB friends for Silke and you'll see what I mean

  7. Seen it mate very tasty

  8. Vince my sag measured very efficiently by my excellent pit crew at Bury. That Sue's a dab hand with the tape measure , very professional.
Conclusion: not enough Sag and a little too much compression damping.
Can really feel the difference with the way the Ohlins performs, should be sweet as a nut soon.

  9. Sue is a a professional? Why am I always the last to know these things?

  11. Met a few at Boxhill this afternoon. Not sure if the owners of these 916s are on here but the Number 2 also owns a Desmosidici?

  16. They fold in nicely so you can get through smaller gaps than the scooter brigade in heavy traffic :) For some reason they look odd in photos but in real life they are a lot less noticeable.

  17. Yeah thats very true, but in all honesty how often do you sit in front of your bike looking at it ? You're normally behind the bars and the mirrors look lovely fine from there.
All I know is my bike is nearly a year old and its still draws looks of awe from people everywhere I go :D

  18. Try taking it through the rest of Europe, they really love their bikes compared to the UK. Italy is ridiculous, I'd get groups of people around the Panigale everywhere I stopped who would stroke the bike! In Bologna it was another level altogether. At Mount Vesuvius, Napoli I picked up 50yr old groupies from Eastern Europe haha:

  19. Oh I wouldnt boast about 50yr old groupies now if they were half that age it would be a different story, Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to take my bike into europe, I am part Italian and do go to visit family out there and they all have bikes so I get to ride anyway.
