Nice one chaps! I had to get some last minute stuff in for Crimbo...otherwise I'd have been there....maybe? RX
Sorry Chris! It's just that I also said I would pop round and see Jerry's new toy next week if he hadn't binned it by then - then saw today's post! Anyway, glad you are both OK. Why did you go out today though, seriously?! Funny, but about as bad as it gets. Anyway, I was thinking about getting an Enduro bike, KTM450 or similar...... maybe I should treat myself for Xmas too?! Happy Xmas, and hope no harm done to man or toy.....
ahem! one of us rode right through the middle of it, the other walked his along the footpath past the wheeliebins (and i'm still not sure if 'the other' was dropped judging by the mud on the back suspension):wink:
wow, when I came through the micky bends at 01:30 this morning it wasnt as bad as that, fair play for you venturing out, Chris did you notice if the Running horse had got flooded, I am due to go there for a meal Friday as it my Birthday
as you well know (and the pictures illustrate), I had to get off the pavement onto the grass verge to get past the wheelie bin. Resulting in a very wayward rear and a very concerned rider! It was only when the motor cut that I had to get off and push
oh yeah, and if you want to know how to wind up a perfectionist, ride your shiny new pride and joy through a big puddle. Squirming he was. Kept looking at the bar towels, then the door
It wasnt any better on 4 wheels trying to get to work yesterday morning (Christmas Eve) 2hrs n 15mins from Crawley to Leatherhead
Yep feel sorry for all those that won't be having a Christmas meal at the boxhill hotel as its a few feet under water, with more rain to come ☔️☔️ Right off to light the BBQ have a great Xmas all
Burford bridge hotel it's just behind Rykas which was also under water yesterday, the whole area is cattle trucked, and more to come on Friday
With Box Hill waterlogged the only other meet I've heard about for Boxing Day is an 11am ride out from Destination Triumph to Plumpton. But I'm not even sure that's still on? And if it's icey, well...
Well, Box Hill is out for tomorrow. You're all welcome to head up to my place! I'm on high ground and plenty of space
