no, not yet, heard of a burger van that's open on the Hog's Back today, will be paying that a visit soon.
Hogs back, haha, not many people say that sentence! My local road back in my yoof. Next to the family estate, Loseley Park. Good memories.
A bit late in the day, but be especially careful/speed wary riding A29/ Pulborough to Bury hill today.. I think you know what I mean.
It sounds like ear plugs are a just a waste of time & serving no purpose whatsoever with ear piercing noise.
Recent (modified) quote from another Ducati site posted mid-June 2020:- "Bury hill near Arundel has 5 A and B roads that feed it and over the week end Sussex police has set up 11 mobile speed traps some on tripods hidden in bushes and 5 camera vans from 9am until 4:30pm also the A29 had a further 2 vans and 3 hidden cameras from sussex border to Pulborough ,, they were also 9 traffic cars in these areas all to deter bikers ,,when some cops dropped into Bury Hill cafe today they were being booed and insulted by many people even car drivers ,,they started this anti bike Blitz 3 weeks ago and much of the equipment is borrowed from Hampshire and Surrey Police as the New Chief constable wants to make Sussex an anti motorcycle county like Derbyshire and Northampton,, her words according to some shame faced cops ,, This Blitz is scheduled for all Sussex biking areas for next Month when it may slacken as much of the borrowed speed vans and portable units have to be returned to Surrey and Hampshire .. harassment and roadblocks have been in use against bikes in Worthing area and Eastbourne .. MAG guys are co-ordinating info and possible complaints ...noise checking has been used at one road block ,,, reports from Surrey , Kent and Hampshire say not much police activity ,few traffic cars about ,,most of their enforcement gear seems to be in Sussex ????" __________________
Distrubing times ahead of us all during the summer riding months, perhaps we need a stealth bomber type of coachworks from now on in to avoid detection.my real problem at the minute is avoiding newly laid tarmac roads that leave those huge chippings floating on the surface, wrecking paintwork / headlights etc.
So ride legally then and it shouldn’t be a problem. Why do most bikers think that they are exempt from the rules? Just putting it out there, I’m not saying I don’t speed because I do from time to time. Thing to remember with excess speed and a bike, when it goes wrong it usually ends in a fatality. I guess they’re trying to prevent that and a road being closed for 4,5 maybe 6 hours while they investigate 1 bloke (or lady) that thought the speed limit didn’t apply to them as they were on a bike.
due to the distancing malarky, that and because I was meeting someone, I didn't even look. Got my flanges and left.
Just got back from newlands, very windy up there today. Didn't even bother getting in the never ending queue for a coffee... Puddy
Lol, yeah definitely more lycra than leather. Chances are if you went up there now with a family , it would cost you the price of the old burger van to feed em !
it's not too bad Sev, there was a big "clientele" change straight after that first road closure cycle event more years ago than I think but will guess about 5.
