Aren’t they to protect the seals in some way, I have them fitted to my trials bike? I kinda like them in a weirdo kinda vibe, love to test ride one. I’m told by a CMC salesman that they’re no wider than something like my BMW R1150RT with the panniers on. They’re a bit pricey for me ATM.
that makes sense, if you are using them in a particularly muddy environment and I’m sure they’re worth it but most people just put a full concertina gaiter over the lot?
Yep but he can’t on that as it can’t attach to the lower fork legs so it’s utterly pointless, as long as he think it’s achieving something………..
