the 'Anyone going to Boxhill today?' thread

  1. it's the April meet of the DOC at Newlands Corner tomorrow, most people arrive around 11 am onwards. Quite fitting that it's on April 1 with the current weather, but might just cleaning up nicely by then, can always go in the rowing boat/car as a last resort.

  8. If you have watched a little of the Rufford Ford clips on you tube, you will see that sometimes it’s the depth of the water and sometimes the inability to drove through water.

    As a mate of mine found out in his 4x4 Sierra………boom went his engine after ingesting water from a deep puddle.:joy:

  16. The landie has aquaphobia,;)......the intake is high on the rhs front wing, so not a problem you're gonna get wet pants before the engine expires.

  19. Bent my mates con rods cost a fortune to repair, can’t recall if he successfully claimed from his insurance.
     
  20. that Ford flood footage was very interesting for me, through the many breakdowns you can here people go to restart and think they hear something resembling a flat battery.. if only they had just let it stay stopped and then taken the plugs out.
