Was just out on my pedal cycle and was very slightly cut-up* at Broadbridge Heath roundabout (next to petrol station) by a red Panigale with dry clutch (dunno what sort but they don’t all have dry clutches do they?). * he pulled out miles in front of me to join the roundabout, no danger whatsoever. Anybody from here?
Haven’t Ducati moved away from the archaic dry clutch system in favour of something not from the age of steam? Was it a 899 version with underslung termi’s? He may well have been but it’s a nice touch to add to the picture you’re painting with such poetic words. I look forward to your YouTube clip release on your channel ‘Rickyoutragecycling’.
I’m liking the Aprilia if not it’s a little plain looking, they’re fetching very good money well more than I thought atm. Not sure on the Hardley Dangerous tbh a little too easy rider for my palette. As for ADV Harley well that can get in the sea. I love the SF, but they’re priced a little too salty for me. The Jota is nice but my all time favourite is the RGS, knew someone who had one. Second owner he put big miles on it, but the sound it emitted was just sublime.
Looks like a good day. I ended up spending about 2 hours washing the car, then cooking a roast. I’m consoling myself with the fact that the roads are still shite, and full of potholes.
only took the Harley Pan America because i'd never seen one, owner loves it and had done about 30k miles on it already. He only tried it because he couldn't get BMW through gap at his house, but was pleasantly surprised by comfort and performance. Camera crew were there for a feature on Rykas and bikes were being lined up in front of diner for more pics as I left. Will miss Gill - she wouldn't let me pay for my coffee despite not seeing me for many months.
Not really Box Hill, but the Sussex DOCG are meeting at Hummingbirds on Sunday, anyone fancy a ride down ? Was going to pass across to Newdigate, Ockley down through Petworth, pass by Goodwood (make a Ducati noise at all the classic cars) and then dog leg back down across the Worthing Seafront to end up at Shoreham for Breakfast at 10am. It's a 70 odd mile run for me. Anyone want to meet along the way ? https://goo.gl/maps/VkfCSxoCTryQErMx6
Literally picking up my first Ducati tomorrow and (Weather permitting) going to take a spin out to Rykas on Sunday morning (Apr 16th) to try it out and grab a bacon sandwich if anyone else is heading down there this weekend?
No-one fancy the run south ? https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threa...hill-today-thread.12540/page-529#post-2065066
i really fancy it James but won't know if my body does until the day though. hopefully a few others will post between now and then.
Yes that should work. I’ll try and get there for 10 and then maybe swing north on the way back. I’ve got a Cessna 172 stashed in the hanger at Shoreham next to the Hummingbird for sunny afternoons..
