Newlands Corner absolutely made my day today, I remember a few years back, seeing the original version relegated to the edge of the sitting area as the bench had become dilapidated and then at the next visit all the brass plates have been stolen. So good to see Elsie restored to pole position again, with a shiny new plate.
It's the Surrey D.O.C. meet tomorrow at Newlands Corner, people tend to turn up around 11 onwards now it's getting colder. About 50/50 for me at the moment, but last month's was well attended and weather looks good for time of year.
luckily the latent heat from the engine is enough when it's warmed up, memories of the same from a Triumph TR5 back in the day. We get the same on some bikes don't we? the only time queueing can be beneficial.
it really was a lovely meet this month, Atmosphere could've been as if we were in the middle of summer, everyone pleased to be out. three ST3 turned up and even parked in a row, what are the chances of that..
Great stuff, considering it looks rather damp. I'm nervous with that helmet dangling on the yellow 996
