The cost to change

  1. This is why I've got a 2012 ABS bike and a KTM 250EXC in the garage.

  2. I highly doubt it!

Exactly, always wanted a Hyper 1100 and I reckon £7-8k could get me a very decent one, not that I can afford to run two bikes anyway, that's why I bought the Multi, it ticks all the boxes!

  3. Undecided now between an ABS model brand new or a Skyhook machine with 1600 miles on it!

  4. 1,600 miles is nothing if you can be sure it has been treated well ... it's not run in yet really... and Skyhook is an advantage, particularly if you're two-up.

  5. Mines an ABS model and im perfectly happy with it.
I was in the same position as you, opting for the ABS as I thought the suspension on the S models was a bit of a gimmick. I havnt looked back since, although I havnt tried out a skyhook model.

My vote would be a brand new ABS and load it with goodies luggage etc if your going touring.

  6. All Riders test rides from Cardiff are accompanied AFAIK so it will have been treated OK. They've offered EverRed at £149.00 as part of the deal so 2.5 yrs warranty has sealed it for me. I've put a holding deposit on the December 12 Demo bike in silver and will have a look at it when I get back from holidays and do the deal.

  7. SkyHook = one more expensive thing that can go wrong in my eyes, standard ABS model does just fine.
