  1. I have the hurricanes on my MTB, roll much easier than knobblies (which I hate), however, they don't seem too resistant to punctures.

Managed to get my 10 miles in, started off quite mild but ended up with almost freezing sleet so timed it about right. Best I could do with a picture as was barely daylight (clock is wrong LOL).

  3. New tyres seem good to me. I didn't fall off today which is always a bonus. The ground is saturated from days of constant rain, off road was certainly interesting. Don't feel any different on road compared to the old WTB Riddlers.

  4. 10 miles messing about in the woods in the persistent rain.
It was fine by the time I had driven home! I then hosed down the bike and all my clothing and let it drain outside while I washed my car.
    Beats sitting inside looking out.

  6. went out intending to just surveil :eyes: (I think most will guess) for 2 miles but ended up doing 12-ish hence no pics. :pensive: Had a "dog" moment, won't go into detail as might divide opinions on here but long and short of it, I did have to dismount and put bike between me and "him" - problem avoided.

  9. I've had many a "dog" moment. I'm not sure who is the dumbest at times, the dogs or the owners, more often the owners really. I know one thing, 9 times out of 10 the owners are more angry than the dogs.

A lot seem genuinely annoyed when I give them fair warning I'm passing, even slowly, they don't like it.

It's the modern way, everybody is annoyed at everybody else

  11. If I end up getting annoyed then it will be with the owner(s) every time although of course if it comes to the physical it will be the dog and almost certainly me.

  12. Spent a day and a half (not continuous) cleaning my Aspero, did 20 miles this afternoon, looked like we had done Paris Roubaix. Not cleaning it again this year !

  13. Had the staples removed from the back of my head today so finally able to go for a pedal - just an easy 25 miles on the old railway tracks.
Hard work after 10 days off the bike (and a lot of food / beer) but great to get out !

  16. Yesterday I fitted the Garmin RTL515 rear radar light. A great bit of kit, which I think has added a really useful safety feature. It identifies faster moving vehicles from about 200 m and with a simple display on my Garmin 1030 Plus shows you how fast they are moving and how many of them they are. Still a lot of money but what price safety.

  18. That sounds far too stressful. I’ll stick to off-road, much safer.
