Trashed the rear derailleur and chain about a week ago. Already had warning that it was easy to do as bought it in similar state and a mate trashed his. If you’re cycling along under your own steam you can tell when something seizes but with the added torque of the motor there’s an easy chance of merrily peddling on regardless

Yeah, don’t see enough of it here so I go over there. Cycling is part of normal life over there, mucho respect all round. Love it.
Not been commenting on my rides of late - after a decent(ish) Jan/feb my music job is limiting the time I can spend cycling in March... I was hoping to be back putting the miles in this week but the show was moved back by a week - so looking forward to next week when I can get out again !! But this morning the winter gloves were put to one side and the summer gloves were back on for my commuter cycle to work
Playing double bass in the orchestra for "Sweeney Todd" - it's a great challenging score - I've did the show about 17 years ago so it's nice to revisit it.. first of three runs of show this year, I've got "Once" the musical in late August and then "Grease" in October.
Just thought I'd ping a show photo up - this was (I think) 2019 and won an award for the Music.. First one the MD for the show had got so pretty pleased to be part of that one...
no photos but a fun ride home - heading down hill into a "u turn" roundabout - put my right arm out to signal and the front end of the bike started to weave - can't call it a tank slapper as there is no tank but if I hadn't tightened my grip on the bars and put my right hand back on no doubt it would have got a lot worse very quickly... Hmm I thought - tipped it into the roundabout to hard and clipped the bloody inside kerb with the font wheel - which started it sliding... Gathered it all back together and decided today was a day to "just ride home".. lol...
I have a Haibike Hardnine 4.0 EBike which I use now and again and comes in handy for when I need to get home from the garage when I drop one off my vans off for servicing,I have had it for 2yrs and done less than 200 miles on it,I have derestricted it so it goes as fast as my legs can pedal
