Little 10 mile ‘recovery ride' around da hood

 

I’m hoping to go to Cornwall shortly, does anyone have Sustrans books they no longer want especially the LEJOG or the .gpx they are happy to share ?

56 miles today. Tis nice out, however I now have a face like a baboon’s arse

 

I picked up my gravel bike from the LBS after a service. New head bearing, derailleur adjusted, bb lubed, rear rotor had a ding removed. I only rode it from the shop to the car, felt great. Will be out on it tomorrow and Monday.

 

I read in the wife’s Sunday Torygraph a piece about the ever annoying Jeremy Vine as he boasts to Twitter about safety of cycle route – as collision unfolds. The presenter fails to spot aftermath of accident that leaves an injured cyclist being treated by police and paramedics at the roadside. It turned out medics were dealing with a cycle v car, luckily the cyclist was treated at the scene.

I’m as keen as anyone for cycling safety to be improved, but not at any expense.

 

Deep in the bowels of the Manshed resided my Orange P7, abandoned for far too long so with my new found enthusiasm for all things pedalling I decided it was about time I gave it a go again , trails rather than mountains but hey ho it’s a start!

 

40 miles in the glorious sun, cake at Shaftesbury.

 

Is it really a bank holiday! Beat the crowds,blue sky ,warm……too good to miss,have a good day everyone.

 

Did 30 early miles on me ribble then stuck into TT practice on t'radio.

In Germany this week, 99.9% of people are on E bikes.

 

20 odd miles of lumpy mtb 'ing this morning, bit fresher but bone dry, perfect for peddling in....

A few people in Germany carrying small dogs on rear racks and towing them too.
