Did 22 miles this morning with a friend. It was mostly road but some track. We took it really easy and my knees are grateful for that.
That’s the problem with the government, they are so out of touch they don’t realise some people have to scrape out an existence in such squalid environments…
Nice looking bike. What’s the thing that looks a thermos flask at the bottom front of your down tube?
Tool box, I think I bought it from Wiggle, it was v cheap but really good. It doesn’t have any kind of obvious seal, but the contents remain dry even after riding for 6 hours in the pouring rain.
https://www.wiggle.com/p/lifeline-tool-storage-bottle I’m pretty sure mine came with the bottle frame.
Good idea. Mine are in the usual mini saddlebag thing under the seat and it a little small really and isn't even slightly waterproof.
a rather painful and measly 12 assisted miles, and the first outing since the other end of my spine decided not to play anymore, several weeks ago. Decided to risk an experiment just to see what happens tomorrow. Had a scan only last week, on some sophisticated new equipment, so fingers crossed somebody somewhere might be able to help this time. The conversations on here, often via the messaging system, have really helped me overall, I think there must've been about four people over the last 10 years but not sure they're on here anymore, but if they are I hope they are having some success in their own health battles. P.S. Rhododendron generally going mad this year, and what a lovely uplifting sight this is.
Good to see you got out, at lease for bit mate. I can empathise a bit , I woke up a few month ago with horrendous neck and upper back pain, everything was locked up, it had come from nowhere. The GP was f'ing beyond useless, he said 'the NHS is broken, I used to make excuses for it, but now I just don't care'. These people are in positions of trust and are supposed to be caring for the nation's health. They've become nothing more than pill dispensers. I've been paying (a lot) for my own physio, sports massage and dry needling, which along with my own research and morning yoga routine is showing progress. I have to stop a lot more on my rides and stretch out , as well as a lot of post ride care, but I'm just thankful being out.
Thank you both, i've said it before, this is the part of the Forum that is hard to replace anywhere and I wouldn't have made an effort to get out at all at times if it weren't for the encouragement and camaraderie on here.
If someone went through and picked the best scenery pictures it would make a smashing portfolio - we could even do a DucatiForum Calendar!!
