The Cyclists/ebikers

  1. i’ve been looking for an RC200 in candy red for years, when I was racing back in the day I dribbled over them but they were always out of my league. I did have RC30 forks on a few bikes though.

  2. Only ever done road sign racing as we all have I guess, did you ever come across Adrian Timmis or Gary Foord in your racing days, just to name drop they’re local to me.

I love my RC300, unfortunately it spent a few years in my partner ‘ownership’ as she borrowed it 1 day and questioned why she’d got an old Steel KHS. My lad rides it now having grown out of his Trek. Whenever we go out Men of a certain age go all misty eyed over it.

Was Candy factory colour? There’s a Grey 1 and a Pink on Retrobike I always thought factory were plain lacquered like mine.

Think Pace were pretty ground breaking back in the early nineties, but got overtaken by the bigger players.

For cross country and what little trail centre I have near me I use a 91 Kona Explosive fully rigid great fun if not a little hairy in places.

  3. My carbon CUBE. Probably about 10years old now but it does for what I use it for.

I quite fancy a decent e-mtb but they are motorbike money for a decent one :(

  4. Don’t tell us...now you’re developed a fetish for Lycra undergarments not necessarily Men’s either....:/

  6. He got them off the last cyclist he killed and ate ;)

  7. Tough times call for tough measures.

  8. It was last year

  9. Gary Foord used to race for Scott if I recall. I have a 29er single speed rigid that I use at the local trail centre (Swinley Forest) its a hell of a laugh.

  10. yes bud he has his World Championship bike on display in his bike Shop in Stafford, think it has elevated chainstay.

  11. Scott Endorphin in black? Michelin Wild Grippers, used to love them. The Venge is my old best bike, still an absolute beast but old in as much as its running tubes and rim brakes. Still amazes me how quick it is every time I ride it. I did Newcastle to London on it in 24 hrs twice (18 hrs 27 minutes for 310 miles) and it was as comfortable as my Tarmac. 258F32C2-29E1-48D5-8791-B12DCF37C9F6.jpeg 93C158A5-1BF3-4BEF-B22A-3AA83A740CBD.jpeg

  12. 18CD4751-E0B0-42EB-A436-F4D538616821.jpeg I will make you all jealous. Mine was given to me by a neighbour who had this in the shed for a few years, I get the use of about 6 gears out of 18, brakes demand good anticipation and planning.

Please also note the beautiful photo that includes some class shots of the bins too.

    beat that!

  13. Is the bike a deterrent to prevent people getting too close to the bin?

  15. As I recall yes, surely not with knobblies that would be gnarrr or whatever the MTB crowd say now. I always stuck with Ground Controls, I used to run Racing Ralph’s on my Pace until I worked out just how sketchy they were on Cannock Chase’s peebles utterly terrifying.

  16. Think it’s an anchor for the bin.

  17. Not a bad collection, I owned a P7 for a while cannibalised it for other stuff. They’ve made some nice bikes through their time have Orange. I wanted 1 of their fairly rare road bikes.
