  3. just managed 9.7 miles started out wet, but lovely sunshine halfway, apologies for no pictures. Had an amusing incident where a group of full-kit lycra, serious cyclists had to all give way to me on a roundabout despite their pace being 2 or 3 times faster. It happened by sheer fluke, but the indignant look on their faces was priceless.

  4. It’ll be because your outrageous behaviour forced them to un-clip, next time tell them to trackstand as you glide by. ;)

  5. Nice pedal out to the strand leisure park this morning, did lots of the saxon shore way which was sketchy but good. Shame the cafe was closed so no coffee stop. Only one acknowledgement from the roadies, even though our gravel bikes look like theirs?. Why are they always so miserable?

  9. Nice ride along some of the Pilgrims way this morning, might have been better off on a MTB at times, but made it through . 35 hard miles for me, mate was never out of breath .

  12. Boy has been giving his Cube some stick and mentioned it felt a bit rough when pedalling hard so had a look at the drive train and the rear cassette was loose. Tightened up no problem but not something I’ve encountered before.

  14. 20201030_153523.jpg Bought this Boardman SLR8.8 last week. Two extra gears over the old one. Much easier to tip along.

  15. My winter project, restoring this lovely old bike, bought from a farm sale. It's from 1973 lots of period Campgnolo, Cinelli and rust, it was made back in the day by Chas Roberts snr, you can guess, if you're old enough how excited I was about that.
The point of my post is how to deal with the small amount of corrosion on the frame where the gear shifter sat ,I don't want to respray the frame as I want to keep it original , do I just polish it back as best I can and live with it ?
    Any bright ideas welcome.
