  2. mind-blowing footage, at some point half way through I started to study graphics more closely as genuinely wondered if it was Computer generated/virtual! - how did he miss so many rocks or always manage to take a route between rocks that didn't jar bike enough to throw him off?? incredible.

  3. Out for a ride earlier ET deliberately holding up the group, even though they’re regulation 2 abreast?

Oh I know you were in a rush this morning to get to the garden centre and you were inconvenienced briefly and feeling a ickle bit pissy. ;)

  6. No point going out when all Gods children are clogging the roads up.

Better to go out when the workers are working. Which is what will happen tomorrow :)

  11. I've done bits of this section;
    upload_2021-6-3_8-18-55.png
The area south of the Ridgeway is riddled with old and accessible green lanes. You can plan a route along part of it, then drop down to the the old railway I often go along.
When dry, it's great gravel riding with some ancient sites (not just me) along the way.
    Barbury Castle
    Liddington Castle
    Flyfield Down
    Wayland's Smithy
    :bucktooth:
And not a car in sight!

  12. Ducati last Sunday, Kawasaki on Tuesday, so I thought today I’d better get my lazy arse back on the pushy and have a few hours out on the mtb, cracking day up here, a little overcast but perfect for mtb riding

Set off from Bankfoot, just past Ingleby Greenhow outside of Stokesley

    C0999A76-396C-49CD-B18E-C4780B76124D.jpeg

Climbed up the dolomite ingleby bank to join the Cleveland way on the top

Went out today to get away from the wife, but she’s followed me here !

It’s a good climb to start with and certainly gets you blowing a bit

My mate “ Powerful Pete “ clears the top

    Blooming lovely up here,...God’s country tha’knaas :D !

Pete refuelling at Bloworth crossing , we then rode along the Farndale rail line which spits you out onto the road near the Lion Inn , Blakey Ridge

If you haven’t done the Blakey bank climb up from Farndale, your in for a treat  they don’t call it
“ The Beast of Farndale” for nothing! You will be blowing outta your arse by the time you get up this one, it’s a killer  !!
We rode along the road for a while and had a quick lunch at the Lion and then retraced our steps back along the Cleveland way, took a slightly different route at the end to come straight down the 1 mile Ingleby incline ,....like fast :astonished: !

The brakes turned a lovely shade of blue after the 40 mph plummet straight down the incline o_O !
You couldn’t half smell them as well !!

    Garmin stats....
Not a long ride, just nice to get out in the countryside and have some crack with the lads

Straight line 40 mph plummet downhill for exactly a mile...bit of a buzz :scream: !!

Great picture of the incline in here, one mile long at 20% gradient

Bust a spoke in the back wheel so something to fix over the weekend again

Grand day out though Grommit :D

  15. Tough one today. 43 miles of off road with over 3k feet of climbing. Great conditions though and the tough winter miles are paying off...

  16. @H2pots - whereabouts in the country is that route mate?

  17. Think he generally rides the Pennines, neither favouring the one true kings side or the interlopers side.;)
