Tough Crowd, (10/5) - for me "Crap" means worst ever/nothing could be worse, so how are we going to rate Black Lace (Agadoo) or The KLF (Doctorin' the Tardis) then?? It's true they did get ahead of themselves first time around but no denying the talent within.
Good post with great points... Except my Boy, now 30, used to sing “ justified and ancient” by the KLF and TW till the cows came home, he adored it.. Obv denies it now what with him being a Dr of Nuclear Physics don’t you know.. x
The high voices remind of the American 'rock' bands trying to be like UK rock and heavy metal bands from several years ago. IMO there aren't many USA rock bands that are memorable for being good.....most ended up sounding the same as each other. But The Doors, ZZ Top, Motley Crue, Aerosmith were decent competitors against the UK.
there is probably quite a few more but my mind is absolute mush today... zz top are fucken great... probably one of the best concerts ive ever been to ( fuck me, it was 32 ? years ago!!!!!!!!)

yes!!! fucken brilliant. me and a mate jumped on top of a portaloo early on to have a splif and get a view of the crowd and found ourselves surrounded by hundreds of policemen... they wernt interested in us though. there was a few thousand bp and a few thousand of the mob fronting up to each other and we were in the middle with the fuz...many bottles sailed over head from each direction before the cops marched the mob out as they were on the entrance side... think it was that way round... it was a long time ago and i aint thought about it for a bit... was you there? the concert itself was epic...
fuck me there was some good riots at western springs.. do you remember the deep purple concert? i was a lil young to go but my bro was there. i watched the action on tv as hundreds went mad and were mashing over telephone poles and using em as battering rams to smash through the wall! the police were fucking people right up...
