Here’s mine in order of appearance: 696 bought this from J&L in Carlisle pre test as inspiration This is the Ad photo, bought the bike over the internet whilst on holiday in Mauritius 2nd Ducati 899 from the infamous Ducati Wolverhampton (this is the one that run out of fuel after covering 1 mile from the initial delivery) Scrambler full throttle Bought used from DMC no 3 1200DVTS no4 Cafe racer no5 this is at DMC for sale with the no plate oo54 SCR 1260s no6 Sold and will probably be replaced by same when we eventually get to Oz
2013 mts, build quality was terrible for corrosion. A few small faults, sorted under warranty. Sold at 15k. Tricolore, pictured in the showroom after paying deposit. Only rode a few times as it was bought to be a collector item. Then sold after deciding on the France move. Quick machine but seemed very slow steering to me.
Tony seemed OK when he bought the Desmo from him, so much so that he gave him his 1098s to sell. As the bike had been sitting, it needed a service and he told him to do it, just for ease really. When he sold the bike for an agreed price, he got a cheque for £1,000 less for a service. To say my mate went beserk with him was an understatement. He got some money back but that was the end of the relationship.
Yeah she’s gone, I didn’t even ride her Had the chance of a 749r and couldn’t keep both, just haven’t got the room. And it’s coming back up your end of the country, the bike that’s done more miles in the back of the van than being ridden Gutted it is a lovely bike though.
Yes definitely needs riding! Beautiful bike! You sold it quick and at a good price!. You did well with that
Found a pic of my first 848, red one, bought from a bloke in Wilton and nearly crashed at every corner on the way home having jumped off 6k miles on a GS over the winter.
To our nostalgia glazed modern eyes maybe Derek, but imagine at the time!, bet the owner couldn’t stop mentioning those “very light” cast wheels!
